CELL NOTES FROM SUNDAY 8 NOV 2009

The readings for Remembrance Sunday were Psalm 46 and Romans 12. 9 -21.

The focus was on the examples of fortitude and perseverance shown by military people in the current conflict.

Consider our call as Christians to show determination in the face of struggles and disappointment.

Read:

2 Corinthians 1. 8 – 11
Matthew 8. 19,20; 10. 34; 11. 29

Recognise that God’s plan is not so much to make life easy for us, but to make us strong enough for what life brings.  His ‘yoke is easy’ (well crafted) but it’s still a yoke!  (Matthew 11. 29, 30)

Consider the examples in 2 Timothy 2. 1 – 4

Share about worries and struggles and experiences of overcoming.

Encourage each other with Jesus’ words in Luke 12. 22 – 32.
