Late last year we began to think about the future of our building. We are grateful to the Coffee Tavern Trust who have paid for the restoration of the east end roof, guttering and window frames (just completed)
Work on the East End
The heating system which was installed in 1964 has become a health hazard and urgently needs replacing, and that the high roof, which is 100 years older than the heating system, will need to be renovated in the next few years.
However, we have been asking what other purposes God has for preserving this beautiful building ! Jesus came to change you, me and everything, to lay the foundations for a new sort of human community that would bring healing to humanity through faith in him. On July 13th St.Simon’s PCC agreed on a ‘Shopping List’ which will form the basis for a worked out and costed Building Project.
