Submerge
Teenagers at St. Simon’s meet on a Sunday morning for Submerge. We use this time to study the bible, play games, pray and explore our faith. We look at world issues and our own spiritual life.
Recently…
- We studied Ecclesiastes. We looked at how sometimes life can seem really hard, and times can get tough. But the low points make the good times shine brighter, and all good things are from God.
- And we looked at our Multi-sensory world, and looked at how we can help those who are less fortunate than us in practical ways.
We also do a lot of extra trips and activities. We go to Soul Survivor Festival every year and have a lot of fun going to gigs, listen to talks and have fun camping! We also go on residential weekends away, and do Slum Survivor. We love having movie nights, going to the cinema and playing football on Southsea common! See ‘Recent Events’ for what we’ve done in the past few months, and ‘Coming Soon…’ to see what we’re up to soon!
Our Leaders are Abbie, Jo (currently on maternity leave), Peter and Ross. Please contact Abigail Cook (Youth and Children’s Worker – Maternity Cover) for more information.
Youth Band
Youth Band meet together each week to play our favourite worship songs and spend time worshiping together. We lead worship for the whole church once a month, and occasionally at events such as Away Days and Worship evenings.
